Raven Honored to Receive Awards for Volunteerism and Fit-Friendly Workplace


IMG_7594-300x200.jpgSIOUX FALLS, S.D., May 14, 2014 – It is with great pride that Raven Industries announces it has earned two prestigious awards on behalf of its team members.  On May 12, 2014, Raven was bestowed with the 2014 Spirit of Volunteerism Corporate Humanitarian Award for companies with more than 100 employees.  The award was presented during the Spirit of Volunteerism Luncheon held annually by the Helpline Center in Sioux Falls, SD.  This event celebrates the impact volunteers make on the Sioux Empire community.

Raven Industries strives to encourage all of its team members to volunteer and make a difference in organizations like the The Banquet, United Way, Junior Achievement, the Miracle League and Lutheran Social Services, just to name a few.  Special thanks to all our Raven volunteers that made this award possible.

Raven Earns Fit-Friendly Gold Status Award

Raven has also been recognized as a gold-level, fit-friendly work site by the American Heart Association for helping team members eat better and move more.  Fit-friendly work sites are designated for making employees’ health and wellness a priority by:

  • Offering employees physical activity options in the workplace.
  • Increasing healthy eating options at the work site.
  • Promoting a wellness culture in the workplace.
  • Implementing at least nine criteria outlined by the American Heart Association in the areas of physical activity, nutrition, and culture.
