At Raven, our culture and values extend beyond our work. We encourage our team members to pursue Peak Performance both inside and outside their jobs so that they can be the best citizens that they can be in all areas of their lives. Jennifer VandenBosch, Payroll Coordinator, demonstrated wellness of spirit by helping a coworker — who she had only recently met — outside of work, in the aftermath of a natural disaster. The Sioux Empire United Way (SEUW) celebrated a successful fundraising campaign for the 25th consecutive year at its annual Thank You event on February 13, 2020. The 2020 Campaign officially surpassed its goal of $10,074,508 for a total of $10,084,447 raised to help those in need in our community. This year, Raven was recognized with a Spirit of Caring award, which is given to organizations for their generosity in helping reach the SEUW’s community goal the past 20+ years.

At Raven, we support all of our team members, including those with disabilities. We are honored to have received a Disability Friendly Recognition Program award from the Sioux Falls Business Resource Network and the Sioux Falls Disability Awareness Commission. The Disability Friendly Award is given to local businesses who employ one or more people with a disability to acknowledge and celebrate their diverse, inclusive workplace culture.

This month's Team Member Spotlight winner is Alan Jensen, Facilities Project Engineer. Alan provided outstanding service as the project manager for space renovations at our facility in Arlington, VA — moving most of the office by himself. He took much of the burden off of our team members, allowing them to focus on their work and meet customer delivery schedules.
