Janet Matthiesen, Vice President of Human Resources at Raven, will retire in April 2019. Throughout her time with the Company, Matthiesen led the successful integration of the company’s HRIS system and implemented several strategic enhancements related to talent management and organizational development.

Raven announced today that Janet Holloway and Lois Martin have been appointed to the Company’s Board of Directors. Ms. Holloway is former senior vice president and chief of staff for Monsanto Company, which delivers a broad range of solutions to farmers to help nourish our growing world. Ms. Martin currently serves as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for M.A. Mortenson Company, a diversified global development, construction, and real estate company.

Raven Industries was recognized today in the naming of South Dakota State University’s future precision agriculture facility. The Raven Precision Agriculture Center, to be located on the university’s main campus in Brookings, S.D., will lead the nation in precision agriculture education, research and extension. Raven Industries gave $5 million to the project in January. Today, the South Dakota Board of Regents approved the facility’s name.

To support growth and help ensure Raven and our customers remain compliant with the EU data protection law (General Data Protection Regulation, or “GDPR”), we’ve made a number of updates and improvements to our privacy practices and policies.

Vista Research, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aerostar International, Inc., has been renamed Aerostar Technical Solutions, Inc., effective May 1, 2018. The transition to Aerostar Technical Solutions, Inc. supports brand alignment and better represents operational activity across entities within the company’s Aerostar division. This name change has no effect on Vista Radar System product offerings.

Raven announced today that Rick Parod has been appointed to the Company’s Board of Directors effective immediately. Mr. Parod served as President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director of Lindsay Corporation (NYSE:LNN) from 2000 until his retirement in December 2017. During his tenure, he led the global expansion of the company by establishing an international footprint, executing strategic acquisitions, and leading the development of several new products and technologies.
