Since February, Raven has been preparing and implementing numerous safety and precautionary measures within its facilities to prevent the spread of COVID-19. As of April 17, the company has three positive cases, all in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Jacob Wurth, Raven Corporate Controller, was honored by the University of South Dakota (USD) Beacom School of Business with its 2019 Division of Accounting and Finance Distinguished Service Award. The award is bestowed to an alumnus who had demonstrated continued service to and support of the University of South Dakota Division of Accounting and Finance as well as the accounting and financial services profession.
On October 17, Raven is hosting a clothing drive to collect new winter clothing for children and adults in need. Called “Beat the Freeze,” this clothing drive is designed to provide warm clothing to Sioux Falls area residents in need — before harsh winter weather conditions arrive.
Raven announced plans for the building located at the southeast corner of Sixth Street and Phillips Avenue (101 E. Sixth Street). Due to growth in the company’s workforce, Raven plans to expand its existing parking lot in place of the current building. The project is designed to complement the city’s downtown landscape and will support immediate demand for parking at the company’s adjacent Headquarters building.
Raven and Girl Scouts–Dakota Horizons announce a three-year partnership to create a cooperative learning environment offering Girl Scouts hands-on, minds-on activities in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). With a vision to positively impact our world through highly innovative technology, Raven is an ideal program partner for Girl Scouts–Dakota Horizons. Together, the organizations are engaging young women in STEM topics and scientific reasoning while equipping them with leadership skills to take action and make the world a better place.
Janet Matthiesen, Vice President of Human Resources at Raven, will retire in April 2019. Throughout her time with the Company, Matthiesen led the successful integration of the company’s HRIS system and implemented several strategic enhancements related to talent management and organizational development.
